What
is a database?
- Database is a collection of data and items of
information organized for convenient access.
- Bibliographic databases contain references to
books, journal articles, and other documents.
- Some databases provide bibliographic citations
of the articles as well as the full-text.
- Some other databases only provide bibliographic
citation for the article (eg. Econ-Lit). To locate such articles,
search the library catalogue and find out if the library has
the periodical.
- Even if the library does not subscribe for that
particular periodical, you can get the article through Inter-Library
Loan (ILL) scheme
- .For more information on the ILL, contact the
Library Staff.
